Sleepy at the office? This helps!

The most people who are working in the office turn to the dip after the noon lunch. We stare at computer display, but take nothing more. Sometimes it is even hard to keep your eyes open. With these 12 tips will help you to spend your office day fine (and awake!).

1. Take your time in the morning
To start every day fresh and fruity it is important that you take enough time for yourself in the morning. Take a good shower and finish with cold water. This stimulates circulation making you feel the rest of the day fresher. A few simple stretching exercises are also effective to fit the day to begin.

2. Ride a bicycle to work
Who has a reasonable distance to his work it would do well to take it by bike. Who starts the day with exercise and fresh air, have all day of enjoyment. Are you compelled to go to work by car or public transport? Then make sure to park little further or to getof the bus one station before and take a short walk.

3. Have a good breakfast
A good breakfast is essential to feel good for the rest of the day. Breakfast is considered by some nutritionists as the most important meal of the day. So take a nice healthy sandwich or yogurt with fresh fruit.

4. Drink water instead of coffee
Cups of coffee in the office often do not drag. We get coffee really as an energy boost. Unfortunately this does not last for long term. Swap coffee so with plenty of water or change to ‘natural’ tea. Your office dips will surely decline.

5. Take plenty of breaks
In the office we often use all the breaks until noon. Yet it is wise to take breaks more often. You can also regularly have some stretching exercises. Your circulation will be better and you will also avoid problems such as RSI.

6. Light lunch
By noon we often yearn for a nice lunch. However, the proteins and carbohydrates that are incorporated in there have a negative impact on your energy. Keep the lunch limited and eat lunch minor things like salads and fruit.

7. Eat enough snacks
Because we often only have a light lunch is not enough, it is advisable during the day to eat enough snacks. So keep your energy stock levels. Snacks with sugar could make you tired. Eat natural snacks  such as a handful of raisins, a banana or a slice of cake.

8. Take a short walk on a break
Both exercise and fresh air are good for your energy because they stimulate blood circulation. So go take a nice stroll at lunchtime.

9. Laugh as much as possible in the office
Laughter is not only fun, it’s also good for our energy. Laughter is also decreases stress. Sometimes it brings people to new ideas. So much laughter in the office!

10. Avoid staring at the screen
Staring at the screen indicates fatigue. Firstly because you are constantly sitting in the same position, and because it can get difficult for your eyes. Change staring at the screen with a look through the window. Or chat with a colleague.

11. Ensure adequate ventilation
Lack of fresh air in the office makes us sleepy. Make sure you have adequate ventilation in the room or make sure the window is slightly open.

12. Eat sugar-free gum
Gum with a refreshing taste helps us to stay awake. Choose sugar-free gum to avoid sugar drop! (more…)

Fatigue in the spring

The months February, March and April for some people are the hardest months of the year. They feel lethargic, suffer from tiredness, colds or flu and sometimes feel depressed. We even have a word for it – spring fatigue.

Out of Africa: hibernation
From our distant past we can fatigue in spring. Our distant ancestors lived with the rhythm of day and night. The ancestors who are relatively early in the history migrated away from Africa, slept during the long dark northern nights long and hard, sometimes more than 12 hours. Actually they had a kind of hibernation. Nowadays we do not really winter anymore. Because we have an eternal summer with long days and artificial short nights are created. It is not inconceivable that some people miss the ancient hibernation in the spring and the form presented as spring fatigue.

Fatigue: sunlight is beneficial
Descendants of ancestors who stayed longer in Africa in northern winters will get far too little sunlight. This is at the end of winter in the vitamin D supply is low and then we are susceptible, even a little depressed and tired. Sunlight not only provides vitamin D, stimulates serotonin, it kills harmful bacteria and various diseases and fatigue. It is our cheapest drug.

Sleep, sunlight and vitamin D as a cure for fatigue
Because we do not know exactly what our ancestors have been the remedy for fatigue in spring:
- As much as possible in the sun without burning
- vitamin D sufficient nourishment until there is a UV index

It used to be that eating disorders werent considered medically serious issues and were often swept under the rug because they could be socially awkward; because of this tendency to downplay anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other issues, Eating Disorder Treatments were often second rate or afterthoughts. Generations of people, primarily women, suffered behind closed doors with these disorders that sometimes ended in death. Pop music icon Karen Carpenter became a poster child for how devastating anorexia could be; the popular singer passed away in 1983 due to complications from anorexia nervosa. The medical establishment now has a much better understanding of the consequences of eating disorders and resources have begun to be directed toward research into underlying causes as well as treatment options. Facilities are in place that employs state of the art programs in their Anorexia Treatment, including holistic options and supervision by Physicians, Therapists and Clinical Nutritionists.

The Amazingly Healthy Cup of Coffee

For several years, it was commonplace to hear only about the dangers of drinking coffee. This was unwelcome news for many of the 108 million Americans (over fifty percent of the population) who regularly drink coffee for the increased energy during the workday. In fact, nearly one-fourth of homes have automatic coffee machines programmed to wake them up to a cup every morning.

Fortunately, many recent studies have shown that coffee may be more healthful than previously thought. Research conducted at the University of Scranton shows that coffee is America’s primary source of antioxidants, which are well known to protect the body from cancer, heart disease, strokes, and diabetes. A study from Harvard showed that three cups a day could reduce diabetes by up to ten percent, and six cups may reduce risk by almost fifty-four percent. Regular coffee drinkers are twenty-five percent less likely to develop colon cancer, and half as likely to get gallstones.

Many coffee drinkers use it for the faster reaction time and better verbal memory and short-term recall, and recent studies show that mental benefits may extend far beyond the immediate stimulation. Regular coffee consumption may reduce the chance of developing Parkinson’s disease as well as reduced risk for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Even the old belief that only the caffeine in coffee was energizing has been challenged by recent research which suggests that it also causes cortisone and adrenaline levels to rise in the body.

Besides being less of a danger than was thought, coffee might actually help to mitigate the effects of other dangerous habits. For instance, heavy drinkers could see an eighty percent drop in the risk of liver cirrhosis and smokers have a reduced chance of heart disease and cancers of the mouth and throat. Coffee may even help stop headaches and prevent cavities thanks to trigonelline, the chemical compound that gives coffee a bitter taste.

So get those coffee machines brewing for that extra cup of java or espresso this morning, America, and drink to your health.

Personal Care Products in Today's Society

A wide variety of personal care products in today’s society appeal our innate need to care for ourselves and feel liked, even loved by others.

As people become more environmentally conscience, they are responding favorably to a global push to be more earth-friendly, advertising for personal care products in today’s society appeal to our emotions and desire for approval.

Interestingly, personal care products in our society that seem to be following a ?new trend? in personal care based on natural, environmentally-friendly ingredients are actually reflective of a centuries-old tradition of homeopathic care, see homeopathy products for more info.

You are more likely than ever before to find labels that tout “all natural ingredients” or inclusion of herbs and other natural vegetation to enhance the desired effect. People are also becoming more and more conscious about the humane treatment of animals, thus the words, “not tested on animals” and “contains no animal by-products” on labels. Products are often marketed to socially conscious consumers. The industry is definitely cashing in on that trend.

Natural and organic products are all the rage in personal care products in today’s society. Manufacturers such as Hakansson, is focused on a wide range of naturally-derived ingredients. Pharmacopia is peddling vegan Herbal Lip Elixer, and Pure Inventions is all about all-natural green tea formulas in cosmetics.

Mineral makeup has flooded the personal care products market and is a huge hit with people who seek balance and nature. Avurvedic is just one manufacturer of mineral makeup. Theirs is even packaged in natural, recyclable bags.

Aromatherapy is another area of personal care that is becoming increasingly popular. Puresa Aromatherapy vows to be earth-friendly.

Even baby products as huggies and nappies are taking on more natural tendencies to please socially-conscious and health-wise parents who are destined to forge a new future by raising the next generation to avoid the pitfalls of harsh chemicals in favor of a closer bond and better friendship with the earth.

Food Additives

The amount of additives in food are assumed to be healthy. Some food additives are, of course, necessary. Those in the category of preservatives retain freshness and healthy quality of food. Food additives like sodium, dextrose and soy and soy deriviatives are mostly natural ingredients that present little harm to humans. Food additives like sodium aluminum phosphate and hydrogenated oils from soy or corn are added to most food products.

Educating oneself regarding food additives is as simple as reading the labels of all food products. People on special low-sodium, low sugar or gluten-free diets make a regular habit of reading food labels. However, food additives in and of themselves are relatively safe ingested on a sporadic basis. Eaten on a daily basis, some food preservatives tend to build-up in the body over time. Additives such as BHA and BHT, used to prevent yeast and fats from becoming rancid, acts as a preservative for breads, snack foods and pastries. Other food additives are used to color foods such as candies, cakes and party breads.

The percentages of food additives such be noted on food labels more than the actual types of food ingredients. Too high a percentage of sodium can cause a reaction in people with high blood pressure. The constant collection of fructose or sucrose in the bloodstream will naturally elevate blood sugar levels.

Most regulatory agencies limit the amounts of food additives to maintain safe consumption levels. The problems for these agencies arise when food is imported and the ability to control safe consumption levels is compromised.

Makeup Look

Learning to use your makeup like paint on a blank canvas is key to looking great no matter what you are doing. If you enjoy going out for fancy dinners and cocktails, then I have the perfect makeup look for you, no matter what your season.

Start with your foundation. Use a brush to apply your foundation across your nose, under your eyes and diminishing into your cheek area. Put some foundation on your forehead and spread it around, diminishing as you get to the outside. Using your foundation in a diminishing manner will prevent visible barriers between makeup and skin-tone. The idea is to blend.

After you have applied your foundation liberally, but evenly, use a pressed powder to keep the foundation in place. Then blush your cheeks according to your cheekbones; remember that blush is supposed to accentuate your cheekbones, not hide them.

When you have your base completed, move on to the eyes, the most important part of any look. Find eye-shadow that coordinates with your season and apply a light, sheer layer on your lid. Use a lightening product under your eye and just under your eyebrow. Then create shadow with a darker, more prominent color, making sure to only put it in the crease of your eyelid.

Then use a liquid eyeliner to make a solid, thick line from the inside of the top of your eye, working its way to the outside. Then use the dark shadow to create a smudged look on top of the liner. After you have smudged your liner and your shadow, put the mascara on only your top lashes. Put it on very thick.

Finish with your favorite lip color. That’s all! This makeup look will give you a seductive but serious look that is sure to turn heads no matter where you go.

College student sex contest exposed – makeshift cock ring to blame

Going to college can bring many challenges to new students. Not all are related to their studies. Behind the scenes, unusual cultures and practices develop. Most students do not participate, yet some will get involved just to fit in.
When Andrew B. packed his bags to head for college, he had no idea how this new environment would change his life. Coming from a small town in Cornwall his social life had been limited. At college he felt out of place. To better fit in, he attended as many parties as possible. During one of these bashes Andrew B. got involved with a group of young men known for their unusual sexual competitions.
Before long Andrew B. was hooked. He enjoyed the attention of his new found friends and the girls involved in these sexual contests. That was until a new competition was announced. Every participant had to try to have intercourse, as many times as possible, in one single night. Equipment and enhancers were allowed.
Trying to beat the record, a few of the participants used cock rings to slow the blood flow from their erect penis. This allowed for a longer erection. Andrew B. was one of the members using such a device. Regrettably, when Melinda C., a 19-year-old big-busted chemistry student crossed his path at the library, he was unprepared. The two hit it off and decided to continue their hook-up back at her dorm room.
With the contest in mind, Andrew B. decided to use the silicone wristband all club members wore, as a cock ring. He double looped the wristband around his member, and at first everything seemed to go smoothly. What this young stud did not realize was that the loops were too tight. After four hours of intense sexual activities Andrew B.’s initial discomfort turned into a persistent pain. It was so bad Melinda C. finally had to call for help.
Andrew B. was transported to the nearest hospital, where he was treated for priapism. This condition occurs when the blood flow in the penis becomes trapped and is unable to drain. If not treated in time, it can lead to permanent erectile dysfunction.
Thanks to the swift actions of his partner, Andrew B. recovered. He transferred to a different college shortly after.

Crystal Clear: The Power of Crystal Massage Kits

Massage is an ancient tradition that is still widely practiced today thanks to its healing and restorative properties. When performed correctly, massage can positively affect people on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Through massage, the body is relaxed and the mind is reinvigorated by the precise placement of pressure on various muscles and pressure points. This tried and true practice has become a booming industry in modern culture, with spas and other businesses offering massage services.

However, massage is not the only ancient healing technique that still exists today. Slightly lesser known is the healing power of crystals. Crystals have been believed to channel various energies, which can bring positive auras to the body, while also sometimes pulling out negative energies to provide a holistic cleansing for the body and soul.

The power of these two natural restorative techniques can be combined and experienced through crystal massage kits. These kits come complete with everything necessary to perform a crystal massage at home. To do this, the kit usually includes the most common and powerful crystals, and will often provide a detailed guide that explains the function and benefit of each crystal.

From there, many crystal massage kits will also include step by step instructions, to make the process as easy as possible. The idea is simple, and the massages can be performed in a number of ways. First, users must select the crystal that best suits their needs. Then, one of the most basic techniques is to simply rub the crystal in small, gentle circles over various parts of the body, with an emphasis on problem spots. Crystal massages can be self-given and also work well when applied to someone else.

Crystal massage kits are simple to use, but can have a powerful impact on the mind and body.
